My Project

Our STEAM school in Watts is focused on student success through rigorous, high quality learning experiences that expose all students equitably. As a Black teacher, it is my goal to ensure that our Black and Latino students gain equitable access and opportunities to engineering and design learning experiences, similar to their peers in other demographics.

My students will love the chance to build using these Tinkering Labs kits as their palette!

I have noticed that my students love to tinker and build using LEGO and other engineering equipment. I chose these kits because they will provide high-quality, hands-on and engaging opportunities for them to experience real engineering and building activities.

This opportunity has the potential to impact my students who may have an interest in becoming future engineers and scientists. My hope is to unlock a deep love to learning and desire to further their students in this area.
