My Project

I am a School Social Worker at a high school with amazingly thoughtful students who work very hard! I want to provide time in the week for students to de-stress and take care of themselves using art, specifically watercolor. With these supplies, I will craft and facilitate sessions for relaxation and self-expression!

Each week, students will meet and create works of art, using virtual tutorials from Sarah Cray, a wonderful watercolor instructor from Let's Make Art: https://www.letsmakeart.com/

I already have weekly support groups, co-facilitated by students, where students meet to talk about how they're doing and coping. I will add this weekly art group into my offerings for students who do not often make the time to create, while also checking in on their mental health and well-being! Without these supplies, it would be impossible to offer this opportunity. Thank you so much for your consideration!
