My Students

Children learn in a variety of ways, and discovering all the children's unique learning styles is a teacher's greatest and most fun challenge.

My students are brilliant learners.

Unfortunately, the world is just catching up to all of the unique learning styles of our students. In our room, we learn best when we have materials that engage students in the activities. When the materials available to our students are accessible, they surpass all expectations. I am on a continual search of all departments stores, garage sales, and the Internet to find materials that best suit the needs of my students. I am happy to find the items I am looking for here on donorschoose.org.

My Project

The instructional materials that I am asking for are to be used to enhance student learning. The sand and water table will allow students to explore academic content in less structured, more self-guided format. The addition machine will provide an additional way to learn challenging math concepts while having fun. The preposition activity will help students generalize the concepts they are learning during language arts into a fun game that can be played with peers.

These instructional resources are going to be used to help my students generalize the information they are learning.

In our room, we teach in very structured groups. This is a great way to learn, however generalizing the information into real-world settings can be difficult. These resources are designed to make the transition from structured learning to practical application fluid.
