My Students

My students are amazing! They come with tenacity, creativity, and a wide variety of experiences and gifts. We work hard every day as scholars, artists, critical thinkers, and friends. Together we imagine new possibilities for our community, our country, and the world.

At our school, 96% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, and 92% of the students are students of color.

My students have come from many different parts of the world including Ecuador, Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Ethiopia, Somalia, and the United States. The majority of my students are learning English as a second or third language.

My students are the engineers, pilots, dentists, poets, and architects of the future. These students have the capacity to achieve greatness.

My Project

My students are active learners and eager to be in school and to excel. They are usually focused on their work, but often they have to leave our classroom to get a drink of water. I know that my students will drink more water if they have access to water inside our classroom. Many of my students' families cannot afford to purchase water bottles--I would like to take care of this student's need, with your help. I've also included some water bottle stickers in this project. These will be used as positive incentives, and my students love adorning their personal items with stickers--it's a lot of fun!

Water is one of the essentials of life, please help me give my students easier access to water and more focus on their classroom activities.
