Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We hope to supply our Pre-K, kindergarten, and first graders with potted plants they can grow at home. About 200 students will take on the role of plant scientists. They will engage in learning the life processes of plants and plant structures. We will be using the potting soil, 2-cu-ft Bag to fill the plastic pot, and then adding plants for students to take home.
Let our young scholars' classroom be a place where we grow beautiful greenery but also our students' minds as well.
We hope this project will impact this generation and generations to come. The planting will also provide a hands-on experience for their living organism science unit.
