My Project

I love to transform my classroom to allow students to make connections to our learning or to review skills that have already been taught. I would love to do glow day as a way to change our surroundings and review concepts we have learned in reading and math.

I plan to have students complete glow-in-the-dark centers around the room to review skills like addition and subtraction strategies, phonics skills, sentence structure and finding text evidence in a passage.

My students will be so excited to walk in and see the whole room illuminated by the two black light strips. The games will help children practice phonics, sentence structure, and math facts. My students have had many challenges with learning due to Hurricane Ian. A glow day will be a welcome break from reality and a day of fun learning experiences.
