My students need an LCD projector to be able to learn through Powerpoint presentations and the Internet.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Nuss's classroom raised $717

Picture this: 20 Kindergarten students sitting around a big screen, LEARNING! I teach kindergarten in a high-poverty, low performing school. My school is 98% free and reduced lunch. It is very difficult for the students at my school to focus on learning because they are dealing with many home related issues. This is a large part of why my school struggles to make academic goals.
Regardless of the challenges my students face they still want to learn. They are eager and become excited to learn new things. Technology has become such a huge part of our society and it is something that my students take interest in. The majority of my students are not able to experience technology at home. The only time they are able to learn from technology is when they are in school. Unfortunately, my school does not have the funds to support each classroom with the technology our students need.
I know that an LCD projector will change my teaching and the way my students learn. By having an LCD projector in my classroom my students will be able to watch educational movies, learn how to play educational games, and watch PowerPoint's with pictures, words, and sounds, all on a big screen. An LCD projector will make learning more powerful and effective for my students. Being able to project pictures on a big screen will allow my whole class to better understand definitions of words they do not know. My students do not have a lot of background knowledge. The LCD projector will help my students gain knowledge they otherwise would not have had the chance to learn. With an LCD projector my whole class will benefit from technology, not just the one or two students who are using the computer.
Your help will make it possible for my students to experience technology as an educational tool. Your help will ensure that my students are given a chance to learn in a fun and creative way.
