Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Coming to school can be hard for some students. When you struggle at home to have your basic needs met, school becomes a haven for students. Many families have struggled to just make ends meet; extra added items are not essential. At our school, we have many families who will not have a holiday season without donations from the community. These items will be gifted to students in my classroom during the cold winter months as a holiday gift.

Each year in the colder months, students who lack resources suffer.

This project will help provide a warm blanket, gloves, and hats. These gifts will benefit each of my students in my classroom, each student will take a blanket home. Some students will be able to help keep themselves and their family members warm. Other students may be able to help a neighbor by providing a warm blanket for them to use. These blankets will go out in the community and allow students to choose who they help. A small token can help each family in my class.

I believe in them! I am changing the world one scholar at a time.
