Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my students are new to the country/NYC. They have yet to experience a true NYC winter. Already, with the crazy rain we have had, many of their books and belongings in their backpacks have gotten completely soaked and ruined because they do not have access to or funds to buy umbrellas. Many of them do not have appropriate clothing for the cold! Some of my students walk very far to come to school.

Help warm hands and keep heads (and books) dry, as my students navigate their first NYC winter!

As you know, it gets very cold in the winter here in NYC. My students will desperately need gloves to keep their hands warm on their commute to school. Thank you so much for considering helping my students navigate the harsh weather as they venture into our school community.
