This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In Colorado, our winters can be cold and snowy. Many of our students do not have access to warm winter coats, so they come to school wrapped in blankets. When the weather is wet or snowy, many students stay home because they are do not have the appropriate winter clothes to walk to school.
Help our school provide new, waterproof winter Windbreaker Hooded Raincoats for our students so that they are protected from the weather outside of our school.
This project includes two coats in multiple sizes. The quality of the coats will certainly last for years, keeping our students safe from winter weather for years to come. Since our students are high-school-aged, the coats will be used into adulthood as well. They will have a true, lasting impact on the lives of our students.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
