Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are really interested and really excited about cheer. I teach at a Title I, low-income school, with more than 95% of students receive free federal lunches. My campus serves a primarily Hispanic & Black community. My students love cheer. They are really looking forward to the upcoming season. Unfortunately, we do not have funds to provide them warm ups this year. Every year my cheerleaders participate in a variety of community events; Making Stride Breast cancer walk, cooking dinner and Deserts and More at Ronald McDonald house, and restoring walls at Habit for humanity and the Summerlin Christmas parade. These warms ups will help my athlete look and feel more unified at these events.

Due to budget issues, we do not have enough funds to purchase our warm ups.

As of now, we are in need of new warm ups in order to facilitate the program, and hopefully, it is the beginning of a program that can last for years.

We need your help to purchase warms up for our cheer team. Our team is so excited about this new season. Unfortunately, we do not have enough funds to get warm ups. We are living in difficult times, and cheer is a great way for our students to recharge batteries, socialize and keep a great level of fitness. Your help is crucial to get ready for this new season. Brand-new warm ups would boost our players’ confidence and would make us look unified throughout the season. The backpacks will help the students to keep everything organize. Thank you for your support your donation will make my cheerleaders season.
