Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our students taking SDC Geometry and Interactions courses will use an Origami warm-up activity that allows them to express feelings and what they have learned from previous lessons.

Students will select from a choice of origami activities that nurture patience, self-growth, and understanding of geometry or how their origami "theme" connects to our interactions class.

Students will have an opportunity to reflect and present their ideas along with their themed art. While presenting, students will practice important soft skills while describing the ease and complexity of how they achieved their origami activity based on a rubric provided by the teacher.
