My Project

Our class followed the dog sled race, Iditarod last year. We enjoyed learning about sled dogs and mushers. The students were fascinated by the great distance the dog teams raced and very curious about how the mushers took care of their dogs. They want to follow the race this year again but want to get more involved.

We would like to participate in the project called "Warm Hearts Make Warm Dogs 2023." The Iditarod veterinary team is looking for volunteers to make dogs blankets.

My students will design the blankets, measure to cut fabric, personalize the blankets then mail them to Alaska. By getting involved in the race as a volunteer they will feel more personally connected and excited when they follow the race this year. I would appreciate for your support on this project.
