Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students at my school are amazing young men and women. They trek into school and fight through the many challenges that have been bestowed upon them. Many of these challenges they face are out of their control. One of these challenges is the lack of appropriate clothing during the brutal cold winter season. Help my school provide gloves for our students.

All of my students walk to school in the brutal cold.

School doors open at 8:00. It is very cold in NYC during the winter months with temperatures often going below freezing. They often come to school freezing due to a lack of hats, gloves, coats, or scarves. We provide what we can to help students continue to learn while in school. Students are usually very cold. Please help us be proactive by helping us provide a winter hat to every student in our academy. This will ensure that they will be warm and can focus on their schoolwork.
