This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My kindergartners are inner-city children who inspire me to be a teacher. They come to school every day excited and ready to learn. They are critical thinkers who love learning through hands-on activities and from one another. They are problem solvers and our next generation innovators.
They love learning new things by exploring and discovery.
They are optimistic and accept the challenges of their everyday lives head-on. They are our future and I want to ensure they have the things they need to be successful.
My Project
The weather has changed and cold weather is here. Many of my kindergarten students walk to and from school. They arrive eager and ready to learn new things. As I looked around, I noticed many need socks, a hat, and gloves. It will be getting colder, and winter will be here soon. The hats, gloves, undergarments, and socks will keep them warm through the cold winter.
My students love coming to school to learn new things and I do not want cold weather to stop them.
As their teacher, I care about the whole child. I want to ensure that they have the essential things needed to be successful.
