My Project

Creating a Safe & Supportive Space for My 10th Grade Crew

My 10th-grade advisory students in WHELS are a resilient and creative group who need a safe, supportive space to recharge, reflect, and connect.

In today’s world, students face immense stress, and our Crew serves as a place for mindfulness, restorative circles, and creative expression.

The requested materials will help foster this environment. A weighted pillow will serve as a calming centerpiece for our restorative circles, while yoga mats will provide comfort as students sit and engage in discussions.

Printer ink, scissors, and Mod Podge will allow us to create meaningful crafts that reflect our personal journeys. Additionally, snacks will support my students, many of whom skip breakfast due to long commutes or financial challenges.
