Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My class is made up of English Language Learners, general education students and students with disabilities. Even with their various learning challenges and language challenges, my students never fail to exceed my expectations, which as a teacher is always humbling. These incredible learners deserve to have the supplies they need.

My First Graders are very enthusiastic and excited learners. They just need some additional tools to get them on their way to learning.

My Project

I asked our parent coordinator, "What do our students need most?" I didn't expect to hear they needed so many winter clothes.

The students in my school need warm hats, scarves, gloves and socks in order to prepare for the upcoming winter.

These items will ensure that our students stay warm, toasty and HEALTHY!

It's hard to keep track of everyone's winter items and sometimes they go missing. Instead of sending students home without a hat or scarf or gloves, it would help if we had extras on hand to give out. More importantly, these items help when parents are struggling to pay for them.
