Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I want to give my students a warm corner to sit and enjoy reading. For most of my students this is their first time in school. I want to motivate them to love reading. I want to create a safe space for them so they feel as though our class is their second home. I would also love to give them manipulatives that will help strengthen their fine motor skills, eye hand coordination, spark creativity, and also allow them time to explore learning on their own. Students first school learning environment is crucial in building good habits that will affect them for years to come.
