My Students

Technology is no longer the future, for my students it is now! It's hard to keep up with all the changes because they are happening so fast. But no matter how old or out-dated, one thing is for sure, my students get excited and ready to learn when technology is involved!

When I began teaching 18 years ago, technology was practically nonexistent.

Workshops and Professional Developments provided worksheets or notebooks as handouts. Boy have things changed! Today's workshops are fueled by Power Points and the handouts are all online or on the district's new website. I love learning new techniques and find so many resources to grow my teaching online but with an old outdated laptop, it's hard to access the materials I need and provide the instruction my students deserve. Creating a serious case of Technology Required!

My Project

I am requesting a laptop. I will use it at my professional development trainings such as Common Core Language Arts or Math, Science trainings, and most important, technology trainings! Our curricular programs and textbooks all have an online component to provide additional assistance and resources. All of our district trainings require technology to access their handouts, videos, and their new teacher website. Technology is indeed required!

Technology is the wave of the future.

In order for me to grow professionally and to become the best teacher I can, I need to ride that wave. I am willing and ready to learn and with the help of this laptop I will become able!
