Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need books for our classroom library, because most of our books are tattered at the seams, missing pages, and are either not on my students’ level or just don’t interest them.

I'd like to have some high-interest books for my students that we can use in guided groups as well as in book clubs.

These new books will spark an interest in reading, which is what every teacher and parent hopes for. Reading will also encourage my students to want to learn about other things as well.

I was wondering if you could help give my class the opportunity to learn. If students are interested in reading they will excel in all subject areas, use their imagination to take them to faraway places, and enjoy school and learning.

Is it possible to give us some high-interest books and leveled literature of any kind? With this type of literature, my students will be given the opportunity to increase their love for reading. These children are our future, but without the proper materials, where will they stand ten years from now? I believe through books, my students will not only be given the opportunities that they deserve in order to learn but also to dream.
