Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a teacher in a low economic area of our school district. Most of my students are part of the free or reduced lunch program. I am asking for donations to help build up the morale of our classroom.

We have been displaced from Hurricane Harvey and moved into another building that is more equipped for high school students.

Since we all spend 80% of our day at school, I would love to make this classroom more comfortable for all of us.

My Project

My students need computers in the classroom to help them build on their technology skills. Unfortunately, after being displaced from Hurricane Harvey, my students no longer have a computer class.

My students need these requested RCA Camio laptop computers, headphones, and wireless mice to access our curriculum sites and get remediation if and when needed.

My students have many gaps in reading and math. Having these computers will help give them the opportunity to practice their skills in class since many do not have the ability to go online at home.

Laptop computers in my classroom will help my students improve their skills and improve their state test performance.
