Wanted: A Cozy Paradise With Privacy, Organization and Educational Games

Help me give my students a place to sit on the classroom rug in a calming corner. Privacy folders to reduce test taking anxiety, writing folders to organize and educational games to help them learn.

My Project

I am a Special Education teacher of spectacular 4th and 5th Grade students with varying disabilities.

My students benefit from an environment that allows them find a place to calm down when they are feeling overwhelmed or stressed, so the carpet is a GREAT addition to our Calm Down Corner.

Like many students, test anxiety is a real thing, distractions and self doubt cause many students to look around during some tasks, privacy folders help them focus better.

Many of my students also are English Language Learners, who primarily speak Russian or Ukrainian. The picture dictionary in both Russian/English will help build their vocabulary.

Finally, my students learn best through play and games, which is why the math and reading games will help them access grade level content. These materials will be a huge asset to our wonderful, diverse and incredible learners.
