My Students

I work in a very diverse school that services students who have a variety of needs in the suburbs of Harrisburg. Our district is very large and it can be challenging to make sure all of the students needs are met. I teach special education classes for students who have mental health, behavioral and learning needs.

Along with having high needs behaviorally and academically, my students come from very diverse backgrounds which makes the day very fun and interesting.

It can be very challenging but it is very rewarding and keeps me on my toes!

My Project

These materials will help my students actively participate in a variety of lessons throughout the school day! They won't have to worry about not having a pencil and can focus on learning!

It is important for students to take ownership of their lessons so that they can transfer those skills to other aspects of their lives.

The whiteboards will allow the students to work with me on solving problems without wasting paper. They will also be able to teach each other collaboratively which is a focus of my classroom.

This materials will help my students focus on their education and not have to worry about having the supplies that they may need to meet their individual goals.
