Walking Pads for Learning and Focus

Help me give my students a way to stay focused, activate their brains, stay in the classroom, and release some of the extra energy that I see some of my 5th graders have throughout the day.

My Project

In my classroom (5th grade Co-Teaching Rotation), I incorporate movement before we begin any science lessons. Movement helps our brains activate, our bodies get rid of extra energy, and allows us to get ready to focus on the tasks that will be set before us.

At times, there are some students that just have extra energy and need to move.

I am asking for the walking pads to help with their need for movement. I have stand up desks in my classroom for those students, which helps, but we need more movement, all while not disrupting the other students.

I foresee adding the walking pads to the stand up desks as a game changer for these students. These walking pads will keep them in the classroom, help them focus, and give their little bodies the movement that physically and mentally need.
