My Project

Literacy is for everyone! Its not just for the library or for the classroom. What about practicing literacy skills in the hallway! That's right!

What about taking a walk on a story trail outside!

Great stories can be found anywhere if you know where to look. With your help, I can provide vibrant, lively stories that can be rearranged and displayed in the hallways and in the school outside areas. Our students and parents can be walkin' and talkin' as they do a Story Walk. "Storywalk" is an activity where pages from a children's picture book are displayed along a walking path, allowing families to read the story as they walk, combining physical activity with literacy development. It's a way to "walk through" a story by following the pages placed sequentially on a trail.
