My Students
I teach Geometry at an inner city school where students are unique and brilliant individuals. My school is in the fourth largest school district in the country, Miami-Dade County. Despite being faced with educational inequity and economic limitations my students fill my classroom with laughter and love. High school is a crucial time for students, where they begin to explore athletics, college preparatory organizations, and social clubs. My students balance a rigorous academic schedule with 8 class periods, while attending practice, joining clubs or working part time.
My students are young geniuses filled with passion and vibrant personalities.
With COVID-19, our families often struggle to find employment and opportunity. Students at my school are passionate about developing successful careers in the future. They are hard working, resilient, and motivated.
My Project
Being a successful student is more than just academics. Organization, specifically plays a large role in student achievement. As an avid planner, I have firsthand experienced the life saving abilities of an organized daily planner. My hope is to teach my young geniuses how to be organizational experts.
By donating, you will be contributing to not only student organization but also their inevitable achievement in high school.
The agendas will allow students to plan and organize themselves throughout the course. These materials will make a large difference in my student's success as they learn to use their time effectively.
Please help me equip my students with the tools needed to learn the necessary skills of time management, organization and planing.
