My students are in a title 1 school with many needs but great aspirations to become what they need to provide for family and their community.
My class is all project based and very interactive and collaborative.
My students use the engineering design process to create their items. They produce products that they can take home and use. Depending on their desires they can also come after school to develop their skills to make real world solutions to their own problems.
My Project
Billions of dollars are being injected in VR hardware-based and software technologies. My students are currently learning solid modeling but I wish to take a step further and have them learn Avatar and virtual world creation, using blender and Unity. By having this laptop, I will be able to take the courses online for unity and blender to better understand how to create Avatars and worlds. I can then chuck my learning into lessons that are digestible for my students. With this knowledge, they can then create worlds and avatars that they can sell, and create a business for themselves or be ready to enter the nobody spaces with a better footing than others entering the field.
