My Students

"Who are we? We are STEM!" This is how our students begin each morning- chanting, dancing, and enthusiastically affirming our belief that we can accomplish anything we decide to work hard towards! We know that to accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream!

As the only STEM school in Manhattan, our students are scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians who dream of someday changing the world.

The students of STEM investigate and solve real world problems while developing social and emotional strength- this will prepare them to make a difference in the world. We believe that all kids are capable of success, NO Exceptions!

My Project

Our Kindergarten - 2nd grade students are working on a STEM project that integrates technology and engineering. Our goal as teachers is to make technology and engineering as hands-on and interactive as possible. We want to inspire our students to think about a future in a STEM related career.

In this project, our students will be creating games and activities out of everyday items that they will be using for our upcoming school STEM events.

Some examples are Roller Coasters, Mazes, and Race Tracks using Ozobot Evo robots. The students will control the Ozobot Evo robots using coding markers, with iPads, and by program them so they can run autonomously.
