Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students will be returning from remote learning and will be excited to get moving in my physical education class. The population of students that I serve are high school students that mainly come from low-income housing in New York City.

Being a physical education teacher, I serve every grade in the school.

My students need new equipment in order to have a larger amount of groups to play.

My Project

The volleyballs will be used in the physical education class to teach students how to bump, set, and play the game of volleyball correctly. Volleyball is one of the favorite sports in the school.

Last year, the students that were in person used the volleyballs in the yard, since they were playing outside in the yard instead of a closed environment like the gym, we have lost a lot of our equipment that flew over the fence and into the street.

The students need new equipment to help them get back in to the feeling of being social and working together again.
