This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Help me provide my English language learner (ELL) students with built-in microphone headphones so they can practice their speech. These headphones will enhance their language learning experience and improve their TELPAS scores.

At our school, we recognize the unique needs of our ELL students.

With a high percentage of English Language Learners and limited resources due to our low-income status, providing headphones becomes critical. These devices enhance listening skills by allowing students to hear correct pronunciations and intonations, which are essential for language acquisition. Additionally, headphones improve speaking skills through built-in microphones, enabling students to articulate answers and receive immediate feedback, enhancing their pronunciation and fluency.

Our project has three main objectives.

1. Provide necessary resources for effective English-speaking practice.

2. Focus on the speaking component of the TELPAS exam to help students perform better.

3. Boost students’ confidence in their English-speaking abilities.
