My Students

My students' demographic at my school places them within "at-risk" categories. But what people do not see, that the faculty and staff at my school see every day, is the hard work and dedication that my students possess.

They possess perseverance to continue on when time after time they are doubted!

They possess good hearts that care deeply about not only their academics but arts, classmates, music, sports, as well!

My Project

My students are currently working on test taking strategies to prepare them for upcoming academic test. In order for them to be successful, they will need to lean on their understanding of academic vocabulary.

With the Vocabulary Journals, my students will be able to refer back to the vocabulary they've previously recorded from past lessons.

This will help my students increase their understanding of content learned.

Research shows that when students fully understand the academic vocabulary within skills, they will perform better on that particular skill.

Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced.
