The goal of every teacher is to provide the best education to the students that he/she can possibly provide. In my mind, that means helping students find the way in which they learn best, so that they can, in turn, be their best selves.
My classes consist of 38 kiddos who are such eager learners!
I absolutely love teaching third grade! My students create a wonderful mixture of learning styles and learning levels that make up our classroom. It is such a pleasure to work with growing minds that are craving information and willing to learn. Their passion is what drives me and inspires me every day.
My Project
I am hoping to get my kiddos access to VocabularySpellingCity in order to better help them retain their learned knowledge of vocabulary words and phonics rules. These are two very important skills that can help a student become a successful reader and writer.
A student who has a broad vocabulary will have a much better ability to comprehend various texts.
This also helps them with their ability to use context clues to decipher the meaning of unknown words they come across while reading; again increasing their ability to comprehend what they have read. This program will also help with spelling and the phonics patterns/rules that each week is focusing on. When students are able to remember the rules, they are able to read more fluently. This allows them to read through a text fluidly and makes for easier comprehension of the text. Knowledge of the phonics rules will also flow over into their writing and allow the students to have confidence in the material they are creating.
