Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am delighted to state that my pre-kindergarten students from 2016 will be my first, second grade class this school year! My students are sweet and caring little people who are trying to make the most growth this school year. My scholars love to impress their teacher and families. I am lucky to have scholars who are ready to work hard and have great personalities too! This year literacy will be a big goal my students will tackle.

My wish is for my scholars to build the understanding that reading and writing is needed in all aspects of life.

I want to guide my students to become life long readers. This year we will be diving into literacy in each subject to provide a joy in reading and writing.

Literacy will be incorporated with engaging activities and games. In the classroom the scholars will use their knowledge of words and environmental print to build their spelling and grammar skills.

My Project

The writing supplies will be used for creating and editing our peer's work. The folders and coloring supplies will be distributed to the students for school and home usage. The students will be thrilled to use real people colors when creating portraits or covers to accompany their writing.

I want to bring warmth and comfort in reading; by using cozy seating and corners to attractive the students to the library.

My scholars can choose to work; privately, in pairs, or in groups with flexible seating.

The picture dictionaries will be tools used to provide the scholars the independence to discover definitions of words they want to know. The student's will also create their own dictionary using the sheet protectors and loose binder rings.
