Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a social worker in an elementary school, I pull resources from many online resources to help teach my students. Many have learning challenges and difficulty reading, therefore we are reliant on pictures and images to communicate and teach. Black and white images don’t engage and excite the students the way vibrant color does. Unfortunately, I do not have access to a color printer at my school. I am looking forward to enhancing my materials with energetic colors with this new printer and colored paper. My students light up and focus when the materials excite them. It also makes the content and concepts more accessible to my students who are learning to read.
