Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our classroom is filled with enthusiastic and curious young learners who are beginning to explore the exciting world of letters, words, and numbers. The resources we are requesting will serve as key tools to support their early literacy and numeracy skills in a way that’s engaging, hands-on, and memorable. These materials, including the All About Letter Pocket Chart, Letter of the Day/Week Activity Wall, Classroom Calendar Pocket Chart, and more, will directly enhance students’ learning by providing daily, interactive, and visual experiences.

The All About Letter Pocket Chart and the Letter of the Day/Week Activity Wall will offer daily opportunities for students to practice identifying letters, sounds, and words in an interactive, tactile manner.

By visually engaging with letters and words, students solidify their understanding in a playful yet purposeful way. Chants and word activities will support phonemic awareness, a critical foundation for reading.

The Classroom Calendar Pocket Chart will help students develop essential time-related skills, such as understanding days of the week, months, and numbers. With the Easel Paper Roll Replacement and Velcro, we can create custom, dynamic charts, displays, and activities that can be reused for a variety of subjects, encouraging creativity and hands-on learning.

Foster early literacy and numeracy skills through interactive, visual resources.

Promote student engagement and confidence in learning the alphabet, time concepts, and word patterns.

Create a classroom environment that supports active, kinesthetic learning and reinforces daily routines.

My students are unique in their energy, enthusiasm, and natural curiosity. They come from diverse backgrounds and have varying levels of readiness for formal education. These visual tools will cater to different learning styles and provide all students with an opportunity to succeed in a fun, collaborative way.
