My Students

For our diverse population of 8th grade students, a typical day in our classroom involves small group work, many discussions and the use of technology. In our classroom, my co-teacher and I like to keep Math interesting and fun. We like our students to be able to access technology at their fingertips.

Our school's theme is "Eyes On Excellence." We want our students to always aim for excellence, which is why we expose them to much more than just math.

Our eager students who enjoy learning, come from very different backgrounds, with varied learning styles. As teachers, this means that we need to diversify our teaching resources and materials that we bring into our classroom.

My Project

The use of a color printer will enable our students to present their work in ways that many do not often have the privilege of doing. With this new printer, students will be able to complete projects that we assign in math class. Printing in color allows for a beautiful exhibition of student work and for our students to feel great about their creativity. It also allows for a better understanding for our varying level of learners in the classroom. A color printer allows us to print handouts that assist with lower leveled students' understanding of content.
