My Project

Building college skills take time, effort and your support. Remember that first college class that was challenging because you just couldn't get all the information down in class? My students learn ways to transition to rigorous college level classes while in high school. We focus on writing, inquiry, collaboration, and reading skills to achieve in those Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment college classes.

While creating focused notes through processing and connecting, students add visuals to enhance their learning.

A thermal printer with refill paper does just that! Using technology to add diagrams, charts, graphs, and photos of their learning supports the connection and retention of the information, leading to high achievement in college level classes! Students will be creating collages of images to review their notes from their AP and DE classes to reinforce what they need to know by printing on the thermal printer and adding these visuals to their notes. Imagery increase information retention and processes information in their notes. By framing their learning, students connect with the content and further their technology skills. Using new tech used on college campuses makes learning fun and accessible. My students will also create hallway displays to support other students in building college and career readiness skills.
