Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I'm currently teaching 6th-8th grade students. My students are very smart and love to learn new things. My students are very visual, and I do have many SPED and 504 kids that will benefit from this project. This is the most important reason I'm making it.

The donations for this project will help my students to focus more on the 4 domains of the Spanish language (listening, speaking, reading, and writing because the students will have more access to durable and colorful materials that can be used over and over to practice the language.

The students will be working for the rest of the year in stations, and I planning to create 4 of them (one for each domain of the language).

Having the handout with phrases, task cards, or examples of how they are expected to use the language on each center and maximizing the independent work using the resources on their table avoids making many black and white boring copies that do not invite them to learn or practice the target language.

My main goal is for them to avoid the overuse of the AI and translation apps, challenging them to get out of their comfort zone and use the other available resources and interact with other not including technology.
