This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Hello, my name is Mr. Kalan. I am a third grade special education teacher in an integrated co-teaching classroom. I am requesting the following visual aids and materials to help meet the needs of all my diverse learning styles in my classroom. I have students at one or more grade levels behind grade level norms of a third grade level and students who are approaching levels. The use of reference charts and different color markers will help make reference materials readily available for all my students so they can all be successful. In addition, many of my students struggle with gripping a pencil. The use of the pencil gripper will help my students become more comfortable with holding a pencil which will in turn improve their handwriting. Also, as any great teacher would know, computer paper is a very valuable commodity. Computer paper will be used for student use only to create differentiated lesson activities and reference materials for students to keep in their "Strategy Binders."Your generosity and support will go a long way in helping bring all my learners closer to grade level.
