Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The school year has just begun and my second graders are ready to learn! Since the first day of school, my students have been eager to learn. They came to school excited and wanting to tell me what they would like to learn this school year.

My students are ENL students from various backgrounds.

They are still learning how to speak English, some are struggling and some are not but, what they all have in common is the will to learn.

My Project

The materials I'm asking for will help English language learners have a fighting chance. The magnetic writing board and sight words will help the kids get better at their reading and writing skills. They will practice these words and apply them to their everyday lives.

English language learners are visual learners since they are just learning the English language.

The math manipulative ( base 10, cash register, and dominos) will ensure they can visually understand, learn and practice the math skills they will need for life.

I ask that you find it in your heart to help me give the students a chance to succeed in this amazing country we live in.
