Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students in my third-grade class begin school with varied abilities. This year will be especially difficult due to the return back to in person from virtual learning. Math and reading can be challenging to an average student and may seem impossible to a student functioning below grade level. Good attendance and positive attitudes are rewarded and students strive to be academic leaders of our school. Our school community is supportive and fosters a loving environment. My students are hard workers and strive for excellence!

My students are hard working third graders, with a powerful drive to succeed. They have varied abilities and need different levels of support to achieve their goals. My school has an enrollment of 671 students from K through sixth grade. We have a diverse population with a large percentage of English language learners and special education students. The majority of our students are from low socioeconomic backgrounds.

My Project

These supplies will help support all my students. I will use the easel for interactive writing, modeling, and displaying so all students have the accessibility to learn. The projector also is a visual tool to help bring engagement and visual modeling to help foster learning opportunities for all my learners. The white boards will allow students to solve math problems while also saving on paper. White boards are a great way to assess the learning of each student in real time. Students enjoy using them and they find it easier to correct their math problems.
