Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school is located in a small suburb on the southeast side of Houston. The school is a Title 1 school, with a high Hispanic and low socioeconomic population. A majority of the students primary language is Spanish.

Using visuals during instruction is an area of opportunity for teachers to improve teaching.

The Vankyo - Leisure 470 Wireless Mini Projector will be use to incorporate visuals in our lessons, and the JBL - XTREME3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker will be use to share audio, these new technology will dramatically increase students’ ability to understand class lessons and discussions and should help students by making connections and build background knowledge with new information. Visuals make learning more interesting and fun, it helps teachers explain ideas and concepts.
