My Students

I work with special needs children. These children have trouble accessing and producing language. Technology seems to be the key that opens their minds and mouths. When in front of a computer screen and using language based programs the children soar!!

The children in my class are very eager learners who thrive on technology programs.

They attend a special day program on a general education campus. The class is small in numbers usually ranging between 10-12 children. Their are three adults in the class to help supervise and guide the children.

My Project

These Chromebooks will change not only the children's lives, but will also change their parents' lives. The biggest wish these parents want is to communicate with their children. They want to know their needs and wants and just hear their children speak. The children will be able to access language programs that will help bring this language out.

After working for 10 plus years, I have seen first hand what these laptops can do for children.

Children these days have a remarkable way of using technology. I am still amazed how they navigate on their own through these programs. They are engaged and truly learn and produce language when using these devices. It brings out language that is difficult to do so without. With your help your not only opening a world of language for the kids but answering their parents prayers.
