Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In my classroom, we are focusing on visual arts and STEM empowerment projects. These resources will enable my students to build on their arts, letters, math, and science skills.
My students all have an eligibility for autism and these items are calming and imaginative activities during their break time.
I've selected these counting and sorting sets and Play-Doh for their growth and intellectual development. My students all want to learn arts, letters, math and science skills. Their break time gives them a moment to reflect on their learning and building from prior knowledge. I've included water and snacks as refreshments in order to replenish their basic hunger needs.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
