My Students

Bright, excited, and very tech savvy - this is how I would describe my Project Lead the Way students this year! They are an awesome bunch; ready to take on all the exciting challenges of our Project Based Learning STEAM school.

Our school serves students in grades 6-8; we strive to instill Respect, Empathy, Ambition, and Leadership in all of our students on a daily basis.

Approximately 90% of our students participate in the free/reduced price lunch program and, outside of my classroom, may not have the resources or opportunity to be a part of robotics and engineering centered activities.

My Project

A Bose blue-tooth speaker would enhance engagement in my classroom in a number of ways. I have approximately 200 students who cycle through my elective on daily basis and I strive to excite them in a number of ways each day. The addition of a high quality blue-tooth speaker would allow me to use music to foster enthusiasm during class time. And by adding a jumbo wall digital wall clock, my students would be able to clearly see the clock and understand how much time they have left to work in their class period.

We all know that middle school students need as much help as possible and I am trying everything in my power to keep my kids engaged and learning; help me make a difference in their lives with audio and visual support!
