Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a special education teacher who has been teaching for 3 years. I work in MA with a diverse student population. These students are eager and excited to learn. Most of my students first language is not english but they do very well navigating the curriculum and trying their best. These students want to succeed and need some tools to help them become independent learners while we are learning remotely from our homes. I love that these students have overcome challenges throughout their lives and are still positive and kind to their peers!

My Project

These materials will help my students succeed while learning remotely from home. I teach language based students at a middle school level in MA. Because of Covid-19, lots of these students need a tremendous amount of review in both Math and Reading. I will use this dry erase easel/ flip chart to teach live lessons to my students. Math is a subject that requires lots of teacher-led lessons with visual examples. This will help the students feel confident in reviewing and learning new topics in math. These materials will help us everyday in our small instruction groups!
