My Students

Our school district is currently using Microsoft Teams as "Live" meetings for virtual teaching. When I teach my lessons, I only have one laptop and an Active Board to teach from. When I teach Virtually, I can not screen share with my students with only my laptop. This monitor will allow me to screen share and allow my students to see me, see the active board from their home and view all of this on their chrome books from home. The monitor will allow my visual learners better access to my visuals that enhance my lessons.

With Covid upon us, technology is the "key" into keeping our children safe and engaged in learning at the same time.

Students love technology! Virtual teaching is becoming the norm for many families. Covid has caused many teachers to teach virtual. Even (In-Person) teachers have to be ready to teach virtual. I need to teach my students and meet each of their own individual learning needs. Lessons that are tied into the standards, presented with a "hook" or "phenomenon" spark their interests and helps them begin the learning. These hands-on tools and technology enhance that learning and help my students retain the information.

My Project

This monitor will allow me to screen share my lessons; therefore my students will be able to see me teaching and talking and see my lesson flip charts at the same time. As I use Microsoft Teams for our district, I am unable to screen share without a monitor. The students can only see me talking and not the flip charts.

This monitor will allow me to meet the needs of all of my students by screen sharing and displaying both the Flipchart we are discussing and they can see me teaching the subject at the same time.

This at home Virtual set up will enhance my technology to reach my students virtually from my home or classroom to my students' individual homes. This large monitor system will help me see my entire class through Microsoft Teams meetings as I teach them virtually.
