Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am a speech-language pathologist who currently is providing distance learning speech & language therapy services to students in grades K - 5th. Many of my students come from low income families and are sharing school given devices with their sibling. My students have a variety of disabilities including autism, intellectual delays, articulation/speech sound disorders, and a variety of receptive and expressive language delays.

Our school is a low income school and with budget cuts from our state and local government I'm not able to purchase the tools and technology I need to effectively treat my students from home.

My students deserve the best therapy possible and I want to be able to provide that to them remotely.

My Project

This project will allow me to purchase $100 worth of virtual resources, games, and activities on Teachers Pay Teachers. Teachers Pay Teachers is an online marketplace where educators all of the country create amazing resources for teachers to use. I will buy virtual Boom Cards as well as interactive activities that will engage my students and make them excited to come to speech.

These resources are imperative for many of my students who have opted to continue learning from home.

I will be able to individualize their therapy sessions even more with these newly purchased resources.
