Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an inclusive group of both general education students and special education students who have a range of needs and learning styles. My students are eager second grade learners who love school! Being out of school this past year has really taken a toll on them, and the thought of going full remote this year is really impacting them socially and emotionally. These amazing students are visual learners, who learn best when they can connect to and relate to exciting lessons, and are motivated by hands-on experiences and tasks that help them develop their creativity and critical thinking skills.

With distance learning a real possibility for the upcoming months, I want to get a head start and begin preparing interactive and engaging virtual lessons for them to complete via Google Classroom, Google Meet and Zoom.

My Project

I am so excited to see that Teachers Pay Teachers (TPT) gift cards are now an option! Having a Teachers Pay Teachers gift card will give me access to hundreds, if not thousands of resources that I could use in my classroom. There are so many resources that I know would be useful for my students next year, especially if we are continuing on the path of remote learning. A Teachers Pay Teachers gift card would allow me to access interactive digital (and printable) resources that allow students to remain actively engaged in all subjects during remote learning. In addition, TPT not only benefits students, but also helps teacher-creators around the world. It’s truly a win-win for supporting students and teachers!
