My Students

I work in an urban neighborhood, servicing children from Pre K through 5th grade. Many of our children have experienced various hardships and challenges, yet their efforts and hard work does not go unnoticed.

As a speech teacher, I work with students who have various disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorders, Intellectual Disorders, Speech and Language Impairments, Learning Disabilities, Emotional Disabilities, and others.

Despite these challenges, our students work very hard to achieve their goals and overall academic success. I also help students become better communicators so that they are able to form relationships with peers and become community helpers/leaders.

I strive to make each and every student of mine feel encouraged, safe, and enthusiastic when they come to my therapy room. Once I have their trust, academic and social success will follow.

My Project

Whether this school year will be virtual, live, or both, I am prepared. With a TPT gift card, I can be sure that my students will be motivated and highly engaged during tele-therapy from home. Yet I am also prepared to conduct live therapy services with a table top sneeze guard. I cannot wait to see my students and help them reach their goals. Motivation is key and I have accounted for that as well! After all, who wouldn't be motivated by a multi-color pen? Help me help my students thrive!
